Makers Mark Cask Strength Bourbon 375 ml

(113.2 Proof / 56.6% ABV, $39.95 per 375ml) – Maker’s Mark’s nose is typically so soft and sweet, it’s a little bit of a surprise to nose Maker’s Mark Cask Strength and be hit by oak. The oak here isn’t overpowering, just much more pronounced than in the standard 90 proof version of Maker’s. The nose on Cask Strength Maker’s also features stronger cinnamon, deeper caramel, and a more pronounced wheat grain. There’s a subtle marzipan note in the nose that is more difficult to pick out in the standard release. Side by side with 90 proof Maker’s, Maker’s Mark Cask Strength makes the standard release seem very tame and restrained. Cask Strength Maker’s is fuller, spicier, and more inviting without being overly fiery.

Michters American Whiskey 750ml

Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, our US 1 Unblended American Whiskey is aged in a way that utilizes bourbon-soaked barrels to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile. In late 2013, Master Distiller Willie Pratt agreed to re-release our US 1 Unblended American Whiskey after a nearly three-year absence from the market, deeming it “just right” and “the best it’s ever been.” Crucially, our US 1 Unblended American Whiskey never contains grain neutral spirits – hence its “unblended” distinction.

Michters Small Batch Bourbon 750 ml

Michter’s US 1 Bourbon is made from a carefully selected mashbill that features the highest quality American corn. It is then matured to the peak of perfection, with barrels often aging in excess of eight years. Truly “small batch,” each batch of our US 1 Bourbon is typically composed of no more than two dozen barrels, leaving no margin for “blending out” imperfection and thus necessitating excellence from every barrel. Reflecting the spirit of the Bluegrass State, Michter’s US 1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is nuanced, mellow, and earthy.

Michters Sour Mash 750 ml

During the 1970s and 1980s, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey was the distillery’s single most popular product. While the “Sour Mash” moniker originated from the whiskey production process of the same name – whereby some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash to be fermented, much like making sourdough bread – Michter’s Original Sour Mash earned distinction for its unique taste. With its unique grain selection, it cannot be categorized as a rye or a bourbon. After disappearing from the market in 1989, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey made a triumphant return in 2012 with its introduction into the US 1 line. Staying true to the profile and palette of its predecessor, Michter’s US 1 Sour Mash has quickly become a favorite of whiskey enthusiasts.

Rough Rider Bourbon 750 ml

Located on the North Fork of Long Island, Long Island Spirits is the first distillery on the island since the 1800's. In 1898, Teddy Roosevelt, native Long Islander, organized the United States First Volunteer Calvary, commonly known as the Rough Riders. Created just miles from the spot where these war heroes parted, Rough Rider Straight Bourbon Whiskey begins as a highly refined mash bill consisting of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, which is then aged for several years in charred new American white oak barrels. The whiskey is then matured for a second time in local Long Island wine casks which have been treated with a "cask finishing wash" of 180 proof brandy distilled from chardonnay. The resulting spirit displays inviting aromas of toffee, oak and baking spice, accented by lovely floral note. Complex, well-integrated notes of dark red fruit, caramel, vanilla and oak emerge on the palate and meld with a touch of honey on the finish.

Russell's Reserve Small Batch 10 Year Bourbon 750 ml

Only a handful of barrels are selected in small batches from the middle section or “center cut” of the rick house by Master Distiller, Jimmy Russell and his son, Associate Master Distiller, Eddie Russell. The whiskey ages for a minimum of 10 years in the deepest no. 4 char, or alligator charred barrels for richer color and deeper flavor.
