Passion fruit and orange flavors highlight this elegant, bright Riesling. Well-balanced, with an intense core of fruit, picking up a chalky sensation on the finish. Drink now through 2015. 231 cases imported. –BS THE WINE SPECTATOR
This flowery, aromatic wine blends soft acidity with sweetness, all of which adds to its sipping pleasure.
Surprisingly tight and high-toned for a wine for the hottest year in centuries, this Riesling Spätlese Erdener Treppchen offers pleasingly zesty/tangy apple flavors that are clipped by its acidic finish. Drink it over the next 4–5 years while the fruit remains present.
91 POINTS!!!
Very ripe, yet there's nice cohesion between the spicy, guava and papaya notes and lime-tinged acidity. Very exotic, with a creamy texture. Fine length. Drink now through 2030. 19 cases imported. –BS THE WINE SPECTATOR
The initial cool minerality of the 2006 Muller-Catoir Haardter Herrenletter Riesling Spätlese is deceptive. This wine is complex, transforming to high-pitched flavors of blackberry, malt, tarragon and white peach on its vibrant, slightly sweet palate.
Aromas of ripe tropical fruit with floral highlights. Semi sweet with a light body and refreshing finish. Thirst quenching on a nice sunny day.
The wine is crisp, dry and lush with flavors of citrus, jasmine and minerals. This Dry Riesling is a superb accompaniment to a wide variety of seafood, cheeses and cold meats.
