Absente Absinthe 750 ml

The great absinthe (Artemisa Absintium) with it’s grey and fragrant leaves was once used to flavor sauces and to prepare the famous “Green fairy” spirit. The whole plant has a very strong bitterness and contains a substance called Thuyone that was thought to cause poisoning.
Absinthe is a spirit made of alcohol, sugar and of an essence of Artemisia(wormwood), green Anise, essence of Badenier (anethol), aromatized spirit of Melissa and mint and essence of Absinthe.

Aurelien Verdet Chambolle Musigny 2007 750 ml

Darker, richer still. A little cassisy reduction is noticeable but not really a problem. Fine tannins, more heavily emphasised on the finish. Refreshing, mouth watering acid. That said, a little closed at the moment.

Aurelien Verdet Nuitts Saint Georges 2007 750 ml

Beautiful nose, not at all what you expect from the appellation. Just something else about it, another dimension: lots of violets, a hint of rhubarb, a clean aroma of beetroot juice. A must buy.

B & G Cotes Du Rhone 750 ml

Cherry color of medium intensity. Flavorful, combining fruity aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries with peppery notes and leather hints. Very fresh on the palate with a long, aromatic finish of tobacco and fruit notes.

Chateau Coutet Sauternes 2001 750 ml

93 POINTS!!!
Lots of lemon and maple syrup on the nose, with dried apricots. Full-bodied, with a very sweet and rich palate of candied lemon and orange rinds and a long finish. Not quite as exciting as from barrel, but clearly outstanding. Best after 2009."
