Albini Zinfandel 750 ml

This Zinfandel is aged for 18 - 20 months in primarily American oak barrels. All Albini wines are unfiltered to preserve all natural charector and hand-bottled at their estate winery in Windsor, California.
Albini Family Vineyards was established in 1991 and produces about 500 cases of handmade wine each year. Although they are small, their Merlot and Zinfandel wines receive national attention for their high quality and unique style.
They are proud of their artisan style of wine making, which follows a natural, hands-on approach. At 2 to 3 tons per acre, the vineyard yields are low and all grapes are handpicked and sorted to assure only the highest quality fruit is used.
Mid-Northern Sonoma's proximity to the coast, as well as the dense fogs that creep down hillsides, is the key to the region's favorable viticultural tendencies. Long a source for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the area in and surrounding the Russian River Valley benefit with long, ideal growing seasons, allowing the perfect balance in ripening the fruit.

Beringer Founders Estate Zinfandel 750 ml

Very ripe on the nose with milk chocolate, coffee and black raspberry before broad, candied flavors of coffee and black raspberry and red cherry plus lots of fine tannin. The finish is long and medium-broad. Nicely balanced and structured with very ripe flavors.

Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel 750 ml

Head-trained, dry farmed old vines continue to be the source for Bogle’s Old Vine Zinfandel. These gnarly old vines produce concentrated fruit of unsurpassed quality and intensity. This supple and full-bodied vintage begins with brambleberries and raspberry jam. Summertime ripeness and richness integrate with hints of black pepper and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish of toasty oak, tobacco and spicy cloves creates a wine of both structure and sumptuousness.

Bonterra Zinfandel 750 ml

Ripe berries, dusty spice and a balanced bit of sweet oak come together nicely in the attractive aromas of this one. While slightly roughed up by pushy tannins in the mouth, the wine is fairly fruity from front to back and avoids the pitfalls of runaway ripeness. It should hold up well with mid‐term aging, and will provide good service with grilled hunks of beef or lamb.

Our price: $14.99
Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel 750 ml

The Ancient Vines Zinfandel shows wonderful dusty raspberry, blackberry, white pepper and spice, with coffee and chocolate characters. Aging in new and used wood has lent this wine a subtle vanilla quality that nicely complements the explosive fruit notes. Enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 7 years.

Cline Zinfandel 750 ml

As always the California Zinfandel is a challenging and rewarding wine to produce. Severe selection criteria and master blending show in the final product, which showcases a wide array of dark berry fruit including black cherry and raspberry. Additionally, spice notes and a lasting finish of vanilla from oak aging and firm, supple tannins add complexity to this wine. This wine is ready to drink now and will continue to develop complexity over the next three to four years.

Francis Coppola Zinfandel 750 ml

Our Red Label Zinfandel exudes a brilliant ruby color and intense aromas of ripe red currants, exotic spices, and crème brûlée. Flavors of raspberry, blackberry, and luscious dark fruit fill the palate while a hint of cracked black pepper enlivens the smooth finish. The marriage of grapes from a variety of different growing regions results in a Zinfandel of exceptional depth and longevity.

Frank Family Zinfandel 750 ml

"Frank Family Vineyards' Napa Valley Zinfandel is dark and rich in color, reminiscent of violets. This classic Zinfandel leads with sweet blackberry jam, white and black pepper and clove spice. Further opulence emerges as layers of black cherry, blueberry and Asian spice are exposed. The palate is big, bold and ripe with juicy brambleberry and warm plum pudding, supported by integrated tannin and spice, giving a full mid palate and setting the stage for the long supple finish." -Winery

Frog's Leap Zinfandel 750 ml

Instead of reinventing Zinfandel, Frog’s Leap vineyards looks to the past and the incredible Zins of the ’40s and ’50s. Those wines taught the lessons that the old-timers knew: that field blends of Petite Sirah, Carignane, and Napa Gamay all picked at ripeness (not as raisins) added color, aromatics, and earthy complexity. In other words, the help of other varietals was needed to reveal the Zinfandel grape’s true flavors. These principles form the foundation for this wine today.
