The grapes are hand-sorted, gently pressed in a wooden basket press and fermented in both stainless steel 92% and new French oak barrels 8%. The wine is clean, crisp and thirst quenching with intense aromatics of grapefruit, lemons, kiwi and herbs. This delicious, classically styled Sauvignon Blanc exhibits the unique characteristics of our terroir. Perfect with seafood, poultry, fresh cheeses, and vegetarian cuisine. - winery

Rough Rider Bourbon 750 ml

Located on the North Fork of Long Island, Long Island Spirits is the first distillery on the island since the 1800's. In 1898, Teddy Roosevelt, native Long Islander, organized the United States First Volunteer Calvary, commonly known as the Rough Riders. Created just miles from the spot where these war heroes parted, Rough Rider Straight Bourbon Whiskey begins as a highly refined mash bill consisting of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, which is then aged for several years in charred new American white oak barrels. The whiskey is then matured for a second time in local Long Island wine casks which have been treated with a "cask finishing wash" of 180 proof brandy distilled from chardonnay. The resulting spirit displays inviting aromas of toffee, oak and baking spice, accented by lovely floral note. Complex, well-integrated notes of dark red fruit, caramel, vanilla and oak emerge on the palate and meld with a touch of honey on the finish.
